The Wild Duck Cluster (also Messier 11 or NGC 6705) is an open cluster of stars in the constellation Scutum. In 1681 it was discovered by Gottfried Kirch. Messier included it in his catalogue IN 1764. This image is slightly out of focus. M 11 was mainly a fillter target.
